Faculty of Agriculture
The establishment of the Faculty of Agriculture is most appropriate considering the fact that the major occupation of the indigenes of Kebbi State is agriculture. The programmes of this Faculty will therefore be designed to provide sound exposure to the basic sciences of agriculture and practical learning experience so that students can play a leading role in both the theory and practice of agriculture. The Faculty will carry out specialized training and research programmes, which are vital to intensive and proper utilization of land and water resources for the production of crops, livestock, forest products to meet the food and raw material needs of the people as well as protect and manage the environment properly.
The programmes in this Faculty will run for 5 years and 4 years UME candidates and Direct Entry candidates respectively. Students on a 5-years duration are to earn at least 150 credit units while those on a 4-years programme will earn a minimum of 140 credit units to qualify for graduation. A Bachelor of Agriculture (B.Agric) degree will be awarded in the options offered in each department.
