Faculty of Engineering
The design of the Faculty of Engineering has been laid in the programmes run in the Faculties of Science and Computer Science and Information Technology. The main objective of the Faculty therefore is to provide highly qualified and well trained graduates who can give dynamic leadership in engineering and related subject areas.
Kebbi state indigenes are predominantly farmers and so a well packaged programme in the Faculty of Engineering will assist them in getting better yields from their farms. Emphasis will therefore be placed on the fabrication of farm implements, utilization and processing of available mineral and agricultural resources.
The Faculty will run a 5-year programme and the Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree awarded to successful students on completion of the programme. The students will be required to earn 160 credit units and 145 credits units for the 5-years and 4-years programmes respectively to qualify for certification.
