GENERAL REGULATIONS GOVERNING ADMISSION OF STUDENTS

The First Degree admission requirements for Kebbi State University of Science and Technology are as follows:

Minimum Entry Requirements: Candidates must meet the minimum entry requirements specified by the faculty they are applying to. Original copies and 2 photocopies of certificates/result slips, birth certificates, and letters confirming local government of origin must be submitted.
General Entry Requirements: a. UTME (100 Level): Applicants must have at least 5 relevant credits in SSCE (WAEC/NECO), NABTEB, TC II, GCE O/L or other recognized examinations, obtained at not more than two sittings.

b. Direct Entry (200 Level): i. Two A/L passes in relevant subjects and at least three O/L credits in other subjects, obtained at not more than two sittings. ii. Three A/L passes in relevant subjects and at least two O/L credits in other subjects, obtained at not more than two sittings. iii. National Diploma or Diploma from a recognized Institution, with at least four O/L credits in SSCE/GCE or equivalent.

English Language Requirement: Candidates must have a credit in English Language at SSCE, GCE O/level or equivalent. Alternatively, a pass in HSC A/L General Paper English Language or NCE General English, or credit in IJMB English Language can be accepted.
Mathematics Requirement: Candidates must have a credit in Mathematics at O level for all Science and Science-based courses. Alternatively, a credit grade in IJMB Basic Mathematics is acceptable.
Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME): Applicants must write the UTME and attain an acceptable standard in the use of English (compulsory) and at least three other subjects relevant to the proposed course of study as set out in the JAMB Brochure.
Post-UTME Screening Examination: All UTME candidates must undergo a physical screening exercise at Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aliero before they can be finally admitted into the University.
Special Note: a. All subjects passed must be selected from the approved list of subjects. b. No subject may be counted at both ordinary and advanced levels. c. Credit in Mathematics is required for all Science-based courses. d. Credit in English Language is required for all courses.
